Attach your earphones. Open Windows Explorer and double click on T:\temp1\badday.mpeg
Note:  That's how you shouldn't treat any computer.

Shut down and restart your computer.
Open Windows Explorer, Photoshop, Notepad, and use Task Manager to shut them down.

Copying,  moving and renaming  files:
Open file manager. On drive d: create directory with your first name,  and subdirectories with names of all courses..
There is a subdirectory T: drive in temp folder called "files2practice".
  • On d: drive in your folder, create subdirectory "Computer Fundamentals", and on T: drive create directory with your first name.
  • Copy all files from t:\temp\file2practice into Computer Fundamentals.
  • Copy those files back and forth (copy and move) between hard drives to practice.
    Use both methods: by dragging, and by using the right mouse button.
Note:
If you have lots of files to select, click on the first one to highlight it, scroll to the bottom, then holding the Shift key click on the last one.
That will highlight (select) all the files.  Now holding the mouse courser over the last file you can drag them all or click the right mouse
button and choose copy from the pop up menu.  If you decide to drag files:
  • hold Ctrl key to copy them or
  • hold Shift key to move them
Segregate those files into new subfolders.  E.g. make folders:  Images1-10, Images11-20....
Rename first three by giving them your first name followed by the same
number..
Searching for files, and creating shortcuts:
  • Search for and create desktop shortcut to: realplay.exe
  • On desktop rename them to RealPlayer
 Floppy
Copy and move files to flash drive by:
  • dragging them to a:
  • using right mouse button and command "Send To ..."
  • using right mouse and copy or paste to ...

    then copy them back to hard drive

Organize your flash drive
On your flash drive create the following directories:
  • Homework
  • Images
  • Documents
  • Projects
Using Notepad
Copy one paragraph of text from Netscape into Notepad and save it to floppy.  Include URL as a source and reference to your text.  Name it "netscap1".
Copy this file into your folder on T drive. Repeat all these functions a few times.
