Using the Art History Brush Tool

With art history brush tool you can turn an ordinary snapshot into a piece of art.

  1. Open image roses1.jpg and roses2.jpg (before and after)

  2. Click on Art History Brush tool

  3. With Eye Dropper Tool select read color from one of the roses

  4. Add new layer and fill it with red (use Paint Bucket Tool)

  5. Paint with Art History Brush size 5

  1. Open art1.jpg and art2.jpg (before and after)
  2. Layer > Duplicate Layer...
  3. Select Art History Brush, style Tight Long, 10 px, and overpaint entire picture
  4. Change brush setting to Tight Short, 4 px, and selectively restore details of people
  5. Filter > Texture > Texturizer, and click OK on default Canvas setting
  6. Edit > Fade Texturizer...  and reduce opacity to 60-70%
  7. You can also reduce layer opacity to 80-90%
