1 Operate a multimedia computer system, including installing software, accessing programs or files in other drives (such as CD-ROM), saving and deleting files, organizing folders and maintaining backups within the context of Macintosh, Windows, and networked systems.

I do not know how to operate a multimedia computer system. I use the computer to run a few specific, pre-loaded programs.

2. Use terminology related to computer and technology appropriately in written and oral communications.

I do not know any computer terminology. I understand basic computer terminology.

3. Describe and implement basic trouble-shooting techniques for multimedia computer systems with related peripheral devices.

I do not know any trouble-shooting techniques. I attempt to trouble-shoot before asking for help when having problems on the computer.

I do not use the World Wide Web to access and analyze information. I am aware that educational sources exist on the Web, but I do not use the Web regularly to find educational information.

I do not use electronic informational and reference sources. I conduct simple searches with the electronic encyclopedia, periodical index, and library catalog when required for research.

I do not know how computing technology impacts business, industry, and society. I have seen, read, or heard about the impact of computing technology in business, industry, and society.

I do not know how to operate this equipment. I have seen demonstrations of how to operate equipment.

I do not know how to use audio/visual resources. I have use audio/visual resources to find and present information.

I do not use Internet and e-mail to communicate with others. I have an e-mail account, but I use it only to e-mail friends and family.

I do not use multimedia reports or presentations I am aware that it is possible to create multimedia presentations and have experimented with the software at a  basic level..

I have not published on the World Wide Web and do not see a curricular application for doing sol I am aware that I could create my own Web pages.

I do not produce audio/visual resources. I am aware of audio/visual techniques .

I do not use a word processor. I use a word processing program for simple documents, which I know how to modify and use  again.

I do not use databases. I understand the use of a database and can locate information form a pre-made database such as an automated library catalog.

15. Use spreadsheets to calculate and display information and produce reports.

I do not use spreadsheets. I understand the use of spreadsheets and can index within one. I can create a simple spreadsheet, which adds a column of numbers.
